Re-Using for the Holidays!

I arrived early in picking up my 3 daughters from figure skating this past weekend. There was a craft fair to highlight holiday gifts and trinkets. To kill a little time I meandered through the narrow isles of an over-populated room of gifts and elderly women. To my delight there were many items on display that were very unique, well-made and worthy to be purchased as a quality gift.

As I looked closer I noticed a few items were made from materials from past products. These materials could have been recycled or landfilled, but these artists found proper use of them to extend there life amongst us.

Below is an artist who reclaimed old lumber from swing sets and made Dr.Seuss-like trees. The other artist took old maps and cut out the cities and attached them to the back of glass stones along with a magnet. What great uses of items that would have been landfilled or recycled! Thank you to these artists that gave us the choice to buy something special and environmentally friendly all at the same time!
